Other auditing standards such as ISA 570, ISA 720, ISA 705 and ISA 706 are also amended to reflect this aim. A new auditing standard (ISA 701) has been introduced. CPD Series: Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS)

About the Seminar:

“Base Erosion and Profit Shifting” is an important project launched by G20 / OECD in 2012. The purpose is to deal with aggressive tax planning by multinational enterprises that result in the reduction of the tax bases of high-tax countries. The main issue is to allocate taxing rights between source countries and.

On 19 July 2013, the OECD released a detailed Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) with an ambitious agenda with tight deadlines to be finished in September 2015. OECD developed 15 Action Plans (APs) as part of its BEPS initiative. These APs equip governments with the domestic and international tools needed to tackle BEPS.

Hong Kong Government Actions on BEPS include signing DTA with the article of exchange of information between the tax authorities of partner countries, entering an Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information Agreement (“AEOI”) with other countries and Country-by-Country (CbC) Reporting Arrangement.

Areas to be covered in this seminar:
